Direction Fatima<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday I decided to change the route because the camping that I booked in Viera must be destroyed too, and further north in Figueira de Foz, the ferris wheel fell down and a lot of stress. Also, I am not going to take a taxi back again. The idea is to go forward and not backwards!

From Nazar\u00e9 I already wanted to walk to Fatima. But I couldn’t find any place to stay. In two days you could go there. This time I find an Albergue in front of Porto the Mos. So, this is it:

Saturday: Dry day and Sun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is quite far to the only place to sleep, I found between the path Nazar\u00e9 and Fatima. It will be a long day of almost 30 km I am afraid. I start, like all other days exactly at 9:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sun is shining, it is a beautiful day. Tomorrow a new storm will take place with a lot of rain. I enjoy the sun as much as possible. WIth lots of fallen trees it is a hard track, I almost sweat. I need to climb over or underneath trees to follow my path.

No Blue Arrows to Fatima<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I am paying attention because I like to follow the blue arrows to Fatima but I don\u2019t see them leaving Nazar\u00e9. Very strangely, after 2 hours walking in the forest, almost in Valado dos Frados I finally see them! But they also disappeared quickly. All is stated on the Fatima website, the route, the villages <\/a>but unfortunately no arrows. Very odd.
Again I need to rely on my own path, which goes via Casal da Areia, Ribera do Pereiro, Montes, Casal de Alho to Vale de Agua, the last village before Porto de Mos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sleeping @ Pereira Cabana<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Albergue is immediately after the highways. There is a local restaurant nearby but had to walk 1 km, in the dark on the highway, that is too much for me at this moment. So it will be the large Pingo Doce nearby where I buy food, Leitao, the tpical Portugese\u00a0 suckling pork, to eat at the Cabana<\/em>.

The owner is on the roof trying to fix the roof, lot of roof tiles needs to be replaced. When I come back from the supermarket the man, puts a fire on, to heat the place. It is a cosy old house with a bunkbed and two single beds but I am the only one. I make hot water bottle because I am cold here. As I said it is an old house, and no heating at night This is my last night on this caminho. So hang on, just one night!

Tomorrow the last part to Fatima, and there I will take a bus to Coimbra. I hope the electricity is back again. Until now it is also a cold house, and no cooking. Not so bad to walk a caminho where I can sleep at places where they have water, electricity and heating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
